Every Amateur has his or her reasons, and without those feelings of connection or wonder that drive our interest, the pursuit of the hobby can fail to please or can fade into the background of life. Here I want to offer my reasons and feelings about this great tradition - and the wonder it still retains for me after 47 years involvement in radio communications, electronics, and - of course - Amateur Radio itself.
